Govt. Graduate College for Women, Islampura is one of the leading institutes in the vicinity of Islampura and nearby areas.
Under my leadership, I'm dedicated to not only uphold its legacy but to further enhance the learning experience of students in the college. The college campus has been renovated to provide state-of-the-art facilities. Several new societies have been formed to polish the creative and artistic abilities of the students. Literary functions and seminars are being held to cater to the inquisitive mind of young learners and help them emerge as independent researchers. Many new projects are underway; all aimed at the betterment of the learning experience of students in the college.
It is my firm belief that Govt. Graduate College for Women, Islampura will continue to thrive in the coming years due to the skills and hard work of the leadership and the entire staff of the college.

College Overview
Govt. Graduate College for Women, Islampura was established in 2014 in a beautiful red building which took on a veil of greenery in the subsequent years. The college campus, constituted on almost seventeen and a half kanals of land, enrolled its first batch of intermediate students in 2015, whereas BS classes were initiated in 2021. Since its inception, the college has been dedicated to providing quality education to its students. The campus comprises large and airy classrooms. There is a lush green garden and a large playground providing sports facilities. A well-maintained library is regularly updated with all the latest and important books. The annual result of the college has been almost 100 percent in the last five years. The college aims at overall personality development and grooming of its students to make them responsible citizens of society.

- Dr. Abida Bokhari assumed office on January 11, 2025 and continues to serve as the present principal.
- Mrs. Sumaira Aslam (DDO) served from July 1, 2024 to December 31, 2024.
- Dr. Shagufta Abbas led the college from May 20, 2022 to June 30, 2024.
- Dr. Nighat Ijaz continued her tenure from April 6, 2021 to May 20, 2022.
- The college was formally recognized as Govt. Graduate College (W), Islam Pura, Lahore on April 6, 2021.
- Dr. Nighat Ijaz first served from May 26, 2017 to April 5, 2021.
- Mrs. Kaukab Malik (DDO) held office from October 29, 2016 to May 25, 2017.
- Mrs. Ghazala Abid served from January 2, 2015 to October 29, 2016.
